On the same day that running back Warrick Dunn secured his freedom from the Falcons, Dunn visited with the team for which he played before heading to Atlanta.

Dunn was a Buc from 1997 through 2001.  He left as a free agent in 2002, the same year that started with the termination of coach Tony Dungy and ended with a Super Bowl title.

In Tampa, Dunn would join a backfield that includes Earnest Graham, Michael Bennett, and Cadillac Williams.  However, there are rumors that Williams won’t play in 2008 — if ever — due to a torn patellar tendon suffered in 2007.

We still think that the Colts should make a play for him.  But given that the Colts are only a season removed from winning a Super Bowl, we suppose we’ll defer to their judgment in this regard.
